Autism Awareness Events at the Elementary School
The Diller-Odell Elementary students held a balloon release on Wed. April 2 at 3 pm to kick off their Light It Up Blue annual event for Autism Awareness. The children met in front of the building, had a short message and released their balloons. Also, they each received a puzzle piece cookie to enjoy following the balloon launch. The Autism Awareness learning event began on the April 2nd and will last through the 11th. There will be displays in the cafeteria, the school porch lights will be blue and students and staff will have books, videos, lessons and a daily Autism True/False question to ponder and learn from.
