Brent and Abigail Kostal
When Brent and I look back to our high school years we realize that Diller-Odell was a great school. There are so many positive things about coming from a small school like Diller-Odell, such as having a very safe and positive school environment. For example, each day we were greeted with a smile as we walked into a classroom, and we had a lot of one-on-one time with each teacher, which enabled us to develop personal relationships with them. We woke up each morning ready to go to school to learn because of all the positive people and activities in our school. Diller-Odell Schools helped us build great relationships and look into the future to see the paths we wanted to follow. Being able to be in a variety of activities from Future Farmers of America, Future Business Leaders of America, and many others have helped us to be where we are today. Not every school gives you the opportunity to be in such a variety of organizations.
I (Abigail) have personally enjoyed the school and staff from my recent interactions as a substitute teacher for the past four years. I enjoy living in the school district and having the opportunity to give back to the kids and community that supported me. It is very rewarding to lead each child in the right direction and help them relate school subjects to life experiences.
Brent and I have had great experiences with Diller-Odell Schools and we plan to help support the school system in any possible way.
I (Abigail) am a 2006 graduate of Diller-Odell and December 2010 graduate from Peru State College with a degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education, and high academic honors.
