National Heritage Scholarship

The Beatrice Sunrise Sertoma Club is sponsoring its annual "National Heritage Scholarship: essay contest. The contest is open to any graduating senior in eight Beatrice area high schools. The essay is to be 500-1000 words in length and is to be titled "What American Freedom Means to me." Thee essays will then be judged by a team of individuals who will have no association with any of the high schools involved nor will they have any knowledge of who the essays were written by. The author of the winning essay will be eligible to claim a $500 scholarship to any accredited college in the United States.
Deadline: April 1, 2010.
