Spanish class Semester 2007 part 4

On November 30 Spanish 2, 3, and 4 from Diller/Odell and Southern also attended a concert of a young man from Argentina by the name of Justo Lamas, who came to a school in Omaha to perform for the students. There were over 900 students from all different schools in Nebraska that were in attendance. The students prepared in advance by practicing the songs with the CD that Justo Lamas sent to the school. It was a great way for students to learn vocabulary and conjugation of verbs by singing along with Justo. Then when the students attended the concert they were well prepared to sing and dance with Justo Lamas.
The first picture above shows several students from both schools waiting for the concert to start.
Tanner Sapp and Ethan Thorp were chosen to go on stage and learn the typical Latin dance from Argentina the Cha, Cha and the Tango. (Ethan is the 4th over and Tanner is the 7th person starting from the left).
The Spanish students have worked very hard and diligently so far and I look forward to see what the students will be able to do in Spanish class for the second semester and the new year.
