Name - Mr. John Mohr
Duties - social studies teacher and coach

Summary - I am currently in my sixth year of teaching at Diller-Odell. Before this, I taught social studies/P.E./coaching for three years [1997-2000] at Hay Springs Public school located in Nebraska's panhandle.

Prior to that I worked for three years [1994-1997] at a social services agency, The Crittendon Center, in Sioux City, IA. My job was an after-school program counselor for at-risk students in junior high school.

I grew up in Ponca, Ne, located in the northeast corner of the state. I graduated from Ponca High School in 1985. I attended U.N.L. and graduated with a teaching degree in 1992. I've been married to my wife, Tricia [a native of Shelby, Ne.] since 1994. We have two sons [Peyton-age 6] who is in kindergarten, and [Paxton-age 2]. We live in Beatrice, Nebraska.

Education - B.S. degree in education[history, P.E.] with a coaching endorsement from U.N.L 12 additional graduate hours completed.

Classes taught/grade - Seventh grade social studies, World History, American History, Current Issues

Activities sponsored - Senior class sponsor, Head high school girl's basketball coach Head girls/boys track coach

Hobbies/interests - My interests include family activities, taking trips to historic places, fishing, and collection sports memorabilia.
