Name: Perry Gydesen
Duties: English 7, 8, 9 and Creative Writing
Introduction: I began teaching in Hardy, Nebraska, in 1972. I was there for two years until Hardy consolidated with Superior. I then began teaching in Odell in 1974 and I have been here ever since. I have taught seventh, eighth, ninth, and tenth grade English almost exclusively. I also taught boys’ health class for several years.
Staff Education: I have a BAE in English from Wayne State College in Wayne, Nebraska. I have picked up 36 additional college credit from various colleges and universities.
Activities Sponsored: At various times – Assistant football coach, head football coach, head wrestling coach, Class sponsor, yearbook advisor, and student council.
Hobbies and Interests: I enjoy writing, gardening, golfing, fishing and my family. I have been a board member of the Odell Village Board for twenty years and its chairman for the last seven.
